DIY Point and Shoot Macro Lens

Normally we typically write about DSLR equipment on macroreverse, but not everyone has that need to spend the money on a dslr let alone a reversal ring.   What do you do if you want to do extreme macro on a point and shoot?  Well apparently one method is to take apart a set of binoculars.  The outer most lens in a set of binoculars can be used to acheive some impressive results.   Here is a how to video from user spyder2021 on metacafe:
